After the events of Explorers of Sky, Twig the human-turned-charmander struggles to adjust to a life that doesn’t require her to constantly throw herself into danger. When her partner goes on an expedition alone, she’s sure that nothing could be worse than having to say goodbye to her best friend— but then she encounters an old foe in need of help. When the past refuses to stay hidden, Twig will try to carry the world on her shoulders— and learn the hard way that sometimes, you can’t do it all alone.
