Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ultra!

With Mystery Dungeons on the rise, the World of Pokémon is changing, and its inhabitants are struggling to keep up. A human turned pokémon decides she wants to make a difference. What she doesn’t realise is that she may be the only one who can.

Welcome to my story! I’m not really one for author’s notes, so this is the most you’re likely to get, besides when I decide to make minor changes to chapters, in which case I’ll leave some brief patch notes if it’s anything more than spelling/grammar.

The idea for this fic comes from a currently abandoned project, in which I wanted to create a PMD romhack. The title of this story is just a nod to Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, though now that I’ve written that out I realise that the title should probably be Pokémon Ultra Mystery Dungeon, but I kind of like it how I’ve done it and there’s no turning back now so whatever.

The story for the romhack was written for a video game setting, and so was far simpler than what I’m aiming to do with it as a fic. It had to become a bit more complicated to fill in the gaps which in a video game would just be gameplay – doing missions for a while, fighting a boss, and so on. Regardless, it should follow a plotline which I think would be right at home in one of the actual video games, but more fleshed out.
