Ichi the Pikachu aims to be the number one businessmon in the Mist Continent. He dreams of constructing a “Pokemon Paradise” — a bustling shopping district that’ll bring in some fat stacks of cash! Hopefully the strange Snivy he found in the forest, the goody-two-shoes Audino from town, and the Rockruff claiming to come from some famous guild will prove to be some help.
What’s that? World-ending crisis? Humans? Negative emotions? Nah. Not our problem. Well, we hope it’s not our problem, anyway.
A slice-of-life story set in PMD: Gates to Infinity. Prior knowledge of GTI’s plot is unnecessary.
An eager aspiring businessmon hailing from the Air Continent, migrating to the Mist in order to be the very best, like no one ever was. Ichi has spiky hair, pridefully dons a light-blue bandana with the number 1 on it, and is often seen lugging around a sack of Poke, openly flaunting his wealth.
As the son of a certain banker from Pokemon Square, Ichi grew up very fond of money at a young age. He aspires to be the number-one businessmon in the Mist, so he got to work, scrounging up cash to fuel his dream—an “oasis of opportunity” that he dubbed Pokemon Paradise.
He found Rei in the forest on his way to purchase a plot of land. Ever since that fateful meeting they’ve become inseparable business partners. Together, alongside Aiden and Stella, they formed a rescue team, the Moguls, with the common interest of disposable income. (And friendship, of course.)
Rei – Snivy, Male
A rather pessimistic and apathetic boy unlucky enough to be plucked from his home and dropped into the Pokemon World as a Snivy. Unlike ordinary Snivys, Rei appears to have a little tuft of grass atop his head, resembling spiky hair or bangs. He also has noticeable bags under his eyes, carrying over from his human self. He’s often seen wearing a black satchel.
Upon waking up in the new world, he finds solace in his new Pikachu friend, Ichi, who drags Rei along on his quest to become the number-one businessmon in the Mist. He becomes his new business partner’s impulse control, keeping the latter’s “greedy rat instincts” in check.
He’s an avid weeb and a decent artist, though he refuses to believe the latter. Most of what he does is done on a whim, drifting through days without much purpose other than self-satisfaction. He says he doesn’t care about Ichi’s Pokemon Paradise, but his willingness to help says otherwise…
Aiden – Audino, Male
An airheaded, easygoing Audino and the son of a long line of healers from Noe Town. He has a cute tuft of spiky hair and wears a green and silver bowtie. Unlike normal Audino, he has very pretty red eyes, but he always keeps them half-lidded, so they’re seldom seen.
After his mother’s passing, Aiden left home and moved to Post Town, taking his mother’s necklace with him. Despite being a prodigy in healing other Pokemon, he couldn’t take the pressure of leading his family’s cleric business, especially now that his mom was gone. Since then he’s spent his days trying all kinds of hobbies—he’s been wandering, unsure of what to pursue.
One day, his house burned down thanks to a complete accident on his part, and after begrudgingly asking for money from his father Aiden found the resolve to finally get a proper job. He ended up joining the Moguls with Stella, the new Rockruff in town that he was hosting at his house and was coincidentally looking for work too.
Stella – Rockruff, Female
A brash, hotheaded Rockruff hailing from the Grass Continent, searching for new work after being kicked from the prestigious Wigglytuff’s Guild. She has long bangs and wears purple bracelets with white sparkles on her forelegs. Sometimes she wears a brown bag around her torso.
Stella used to be a part of Team Triple-S, a rescue team with her friends Sapphire and Sol. The three of them were apprentices at the Wigglytuff’s Guild, known for housing some of the strongest rescuers in the world. However, they had exorbitant fees for apprentices, taking away 90% of the pay they would normally receive from missions. The team tried to keep extra money away from the guild, but they got caught. The team tried to pin the entire blame on Stella, but all three of them were exiled. Stella, feeling betrayed, ran away from the Grass Continent, hitching a Lapras over to the Mist.
In search of new friends and stable income, Stella stumbled upon Post Town, meeting Aiden. The two of them would then join the Moguls, a new rescue team Ichi and Rei formed for a little extra cash.
